Adulting is Hard

In my last year of schooling, I find myself at a loss. Part of me could not be more excited to finally be moving on from this chapter in my life, and the other part of me wishes to stay longer so that I do not have to start being an adult. I have always loved school and it has always loved me back. For the past 18 years of my life school has been all that I have ever known. Now that I am getting ready to graduate college, I find myself in the same position as many other young professionals finishing up their college degree I am sure. When people ask me, "What are you going to do when you graduate?" I honestly have no idea how to answer that. Do I tell them the truth, that I have absolutely no clue?

I think the best thing to do moving forward is to remember that nobody knows what they are doing. It may be helpful to just ignore all the Facebook posts of your peer's successes and instead focus on your own journey just ahead, whatever that may be or wherever that may take you. I think it is also helpful to keep in mind that in order to do something great, we should strive to do what we wish to do and not what we thing that we are supposed to be doing.

So to all recent or soon-to-be college graduates out there, stay strong and remain loyal to who you are and what it is you wish to be. It is tough world out there, but the only thing we can do is root each other on and take the appropriate actions to reach our goals-whether they are professional, personal, or both.
